1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on HIVE, such as name, email address, age, gender, face verification picture and event preferences.
We also collect the data of events you create in our app such as title, date, time, age restrictions, event type, description and category.
We use facial recognition technology to verify your identity and ensure the authenticity of our users. By providing your facial picture, you consent to: The collection and processing of your facial data solely for user verification purposes. Secure storage of your facial data using Firebase Storage and Firestore with industry-standard encryption. Retaining your facial data for the duration of your account’s active status. Once your account is deactivated, your facial data will be securely deleted within 30 days. You have the right to:
- Withdraw consent for facial data processing by contacting us.
- Request access to or deletion of your facial data. We commit to not using your facial data for any purpose other than user verification.
Sensitive Information: We do not intentionally process sensitive information. If such data is inadvertently collected, it is not retained or used.. All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
We process your information to provide, improve, and administer HIVE, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with the law. We also use your facial picture as a way for us to verify that you are indeed a real user. We may process your information for event recommendations, user invites, and location-based search features, provided you have given explicit consent through your settings or preferences.
We also comply with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) to ensure your data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently. This includes:
Obtaining your explicit consent before collecting, processing, or sharing personal data.
Limiting data collection to only what is necessary for providing our services.
Using your data solely for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice.
Ensuring cross-border data transfers to third-party services comply with PDPA’s safeguards, such as binding corporate rules and certification mechanisms.
3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
Affiliates: We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honour this Privacy Notice. Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners, or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.
Business Partners: We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services, or promotions.
4. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to gather information when you interact with events in HIVE. Some online tracking technologies help us maintain the security of our Services, prevent crashes, fix bugs, save your preferences, and assist with basic functions.
5. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media account details (like your Facebook or X logins). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. The profile information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned but will often include your name, email address, friends list, and profile picture, as well as other information you choose to make public on such a social media platform.
We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this Privacy Notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Services. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information, and how you can set your privacy preferences on their sites and apps.
6. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?
We use third-party services such as Firebase and MongoDB for data storage and processing. These services may store and process your personal data outside of Thailand. While these services may not operate under Thailand’s PDPA, we ensure they comply with globally recognized data protection standards, such as GDPR and CCPA. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your data to these third-party providers under appropriate safeguards.
7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice., unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
8. Is My Data Safe?
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement a variety of measures to protect it. All data, including images and sensitive account details, is encrypted during transmission using HTTPS and stored securely using encryption protocols provided by trusted platforms such as Firebase and MongoDB. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel, and all access is logged and monitored to ensure compliance with our security policies.
Our hosting services, including Firebase, MongoDB, and Vercel, adhere to global security standards and undergo regular audits to maintain their reliability. We also conduct routine vulnerability testing and security assessments to identify and address potential risks. When personal data is no longer associated with an identifiable user, we anonymize it to further reduce security risks.
Although we strive to protect your data, no system can be completely secure. In the event of a data breach or unauthorized access, we will notify you promptly in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
9. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
Under Thailand’s PDPA, you have the following rights:
Right to Access: Request details of your personal data we collect and process.
Right to Correction: Correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer needed or when you withdraw your consent.
Right to Data Portability: Obtain a copy of your data in a structured, electronic format.

If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
